Ozark Opportunities Inc. has announced the SUMMER Non-Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program is underway. The program’s goal is to assist low-income households cope with the high costs of electricity for cooling their homes. This is a one-time assistance payment per program. The program will run through September 30th or until funds have been exhausted.
All applicants must provide proof of identification and proof of income for all household members for the month prior to application. All applicants must also provide a copy of electric, propane and/or natural gas bills. Other information may be requested at the time of application. Additionally, applicants need to apply in the county in which they reside.
Applications can be printed from the Ozark Opportunities, Inc. website at www.ozarkopp.org under the Community Services, Utility Assistance Section.
