2 injured in 2-vehicle collision

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday morning in Ozark County, 1 mile east of Hardenville.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred when a truck driven by 54-year-old Jackie Williams of Tecumseh backed into a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Cassandra Springer of Alton.

Springer was transported by Ozark County Medical ambulance to Baxter Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries described as moderate. A passenger in her vehicle, 16-year-old Madison Metroz of Cabool, was taken by private vehicle to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains for treatment of minor injuries.

Springer’s vehicle was towed from the scene of the 9:45 a.m. accident.
