Graham Nash is currently touring Europe in support of his new solo compilation, Over the Years…, but his fans continue to wonder if he’ll finally end his years-long feud with David Crosby to pave the way for a Crosby, Stills & Nash reunion.
“There will be no [more] Crosby, Stills & Nash or Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young,” Nash tells ABC Radio, then admits that he might consider changing his mind if Neil Young is open to collaborating again.
“I’m a musician, and several times in my past Neil has come to my house and said, ‘Hey…I got these songs, man. You want a piece of these?'” Graham explains. “And if that happens, if I hear a song that’s kicking me in the a** that I want to be a part of, what do I do? I have to overcome my stupid teenage arguments with Crosby.”
Nash says he, Young and Stephen Stills are all on good terms, but none of them are speaking with Crosby.
Young’s rift with Crosby began when he made insulting comments about Neil’s girlfriend, actress Darryl Hannah, in a 2014 interview.
“You cannot put his girlfriend down like David did in press and expect Neil Young not to do anything,” Graham maintains. “Are you crazy?”
Nash tells ABC Radio that his own issues with Crosby stem from comments David made on his social media sites claiming that Graham’s 2013 memoir, Wild Tales, was “a book full of lies.”
“It was unnecessary and devastating, because it stopped the music instantly,” Nash said.
Graham explains that he’s always considered David, Stephen and Neil his brothers, noting that brothers “don’t always agree.”
Nash points out, “We would always work [our differences] out somehow…but I don’t think we can come back from this [particular set of arguments].”
