The Mountain Home 11-year-old baseball team is two wins away from a trip to the Cal Ripken World Series after beginning bracket play in the Southwest Regional Tournament at Petal, Mississippi. The Fury defeated Long Beach, Mississippi, 12-9 Saturday morning to advance to the semifinals. Mountain Home will play again Sunday morning at 9:00 against Phenix City, Alabama, and if they win, they’ll stay on the field for the 11:30 championship contest against Daphne, Alabama.
