ABC/Image Group LA It’s not uncommon for Darius Rucker to reunite with his Hootie & the Blowfish bandmates to play a couple of charitable events every year.

But on Saturday, the “Hold My Hand” hitmakers will do something they haven’t done in quite awhile: play a stadium.

So exactly how long has it been since the band has played a venue the size of Suntrust Park, the home of the Atlanta Braves?

“A long time!” Darius tells ABC Radio. “You know that’s probably the thing that had me a little hesitant when Jason [Aldean] first asked,” he explains. “It was like, ‘Man, we haven’t done anything that big in a long, long time!’ But, you know, we’ll put it together and see what happens.”

In addition to kicking off his Summer Plays On co-headlining tour with Lady Antebellum this week, Darius has also been rehearsing with the Hootie guys.

American Idol alum Lauren Alaina and Luke Combs will also join three-time ACM Entertainer of the Year Jason Aldean for the Saturday show in Georgia.
