ABC/Image Group LA Florida Georgia Line has now spent more time atop Billboard’s Hot Country Songs tally than any other artist in the history of the chart, which debuted in 1958.

FGL’s latest chart-topper, “Meant to Be,” extends their career-long reign to 90 weeks in total, topping George Strait, who previously held the record with 84 weeks at #1.

“We are absolutely blown away and extremely humbled to even be on the same chart as George Strait and some of our other heroes and country legends,” Brian Kelley tells Billboard.

“It’s really hard to wrap our brains around that, but it’s also super-inspiring to get back in the studio and create more music for our fans,” he adds.

FGL’s collaboration with Bebe Rexha is now spending its 34th week at the top of chart. If it can hang on one more week, it’ll pass Sam Hunt’s “Body Like a Back Road” to become the biggest hit ever on Hot Country Songs.

Five other songs also helped make up FGL’s 90-week run at the top: “Cruise,” “Stay,” “This Is How We Roll,” “Dirt,” and “H.O.L.Y.”
