MH Diamonds softball team suffers loss at World Series

The Mountain Home Diamonds U14 softball team started bracket play in the Babe Ruth World Series in Jensen Beach, Florida Tuesday with a win and a loss.

The Diamonds defeated Pamlico, North Carolina 13-0 in their first game.

In their second game, the Diamonds lost a wild game to Madeira Beach, Florida 9-6 in ten innings. The Diamonds scored twice in the bottom of the 7th inning to tie the game. Mountain Home tied the game again with two outs in the bottom of the 9th inning. But Madeira Beach plated three runs in the 10th to get the win.

The Diamonds fall to the loser’s bracket where they will take on South Texas.
