SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) _ Police say two men have been charged in connection to an armed robbery of a Springfield family, who had 28 handguns stolen after being held hostage.

The Springfield News-Leader reports 19-year-old Billy Lasley and 20-year-old Dylan Jones have been charged with robbery, burglary, kidnapping and stealing firearms.

Police say Lasley asked a 13-year-old girl if he could come over because he was being chased and threated. Police say the two had a past relationship. The girl and her father allowed Lasley inside and three masked intruders entered the house shortly after.

Police say the family was held hostage while intruders stole handguns from the residence, as well as a car and nearly $450. No one was injured.

Lasley and Jones don’t have an attorney listed in online court records.
