The Ozark Mountain Regional Water Authority has issued a boil water order until otherwise noted for Newton County customers.
According to KY3 of Springfield, the company reported a line broke just south of Western Grove. The leak has been repaired, but crews cannot start re-filling the line until concrete backing sets up at the 90-degree elbow where the line separated. Crews say it could be next week before water is safe again.
Customers should not drink the water or use it for making ice until the boil order is lifted.
