A local business owner has chosen to donate his time and talent to keep the Baxter Regional Medical Center’s (BRMC) Mobile Mammography Unit (MMU) looking cool during the hot summer months.

Mountain Home Charter Service owner Scott Lumbert has been using his vehicle cleaning skills to keep the MMU clean for patients who utilize it for their annual screening mammogram. When BRMC lost its former washer, Lumbert willingly stepped up to the plate, offering to wash the large vehicle on a regular basis at no charge.

BRMC says it is honored to have a community filled with people like Lumbert who continually offer their support and resources, helping the local hospital continue to provide quality health care to the patients it serves.

The BRMC MMU was the first in the United States to have 3-D digital mammography technology on board and travels throughout North Central Arkansas providing mammograms to under-served populations in outlying rural areas.

For more information on hosting the MMU or for scheduling information, call 1-800-485-1745. To find out when the MMU will be at a host location, visit the online events calendar at www.baxterregional.org/events.
