Samples submitted from Ozark Mountain Regional Public Water Authority have passed testing and the boil order for supplied water has been lifted, the authority announced Thursday.

The Newton County Times reports, however, each individual system was required to submit samples from their distribution systems.

According to the Arkansas Department of Health, boil water orders were lifted for Jasper Waterworks, at 2:08 p.m. Thursday.

Boil water orders were still in force at Mockingbird Hill, Parthenon, Nail-Swain, Deer and East Newton County water associations serviced by OMRPWA.

The boil orders were put into effect last week after a water main break occurred on the system just south of Western Grove.
