The Calico Rock Museum Foundation board of trustees has officially named the garden space behind the main museum building in Calico Rock. The Claire Cresto Community Garden was named in honor of local Master Gardener Claire Cresto.

The garden contains native species and is a fitting natural compliment to the museum building. The rock retaining walls and steps came from an opening connecting the two historic buildings during renovations many years ago.

Since the garden was installed several years ago, Cresto has used her talents and energy to plant, maintain and care for the garden.

The Claire Cresto Community Garden was made possible by the Calico Rock 20/20 Group, Calico Rock Lions Club and the Calico Rock Museum Foundation.
