Mountain Home’s semi-pro basketball team can now claim the title of Battleground Basketball Association champions for the first time in franchise history. The Twin Lakers needed overtime Friday night in Mississippi, but they were able to defeat the Greenville Blazers 116-112 to sweep the BBA Finals 2-0.
Keith Thomas led Mountain Home with 33 points, Anphernee Harris scored 28 including 7 in OT, Josh Tarver chipped in 27, Kevin Grayer scored 16 points and grabbed 22 rebounds, and Levi Olson added 12 points..
The Twin Lakers finish the year with a record of 12-3 and the BBA Coach of the Year award for Dylan Connolly.
