Stolen vehicle recovered, arrest made

A Marion County man, 43-year-old Daniel Hodge of Flippin, is being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on a felony charge of theft of property in connection with a report of a stolen vehicle.According to the probable cause affidavit, the vehicle was reported stolen on the morning of July 28th from a Mountain Home business.

On Tuesday, the vehicle was recovered in Flippin, with an investigation leading to the arrest of Hodge Tuesday afternoon.

Hodge is alleged to have admitted to stealing the vehicle. However, in an interview with law enforcement, he reportedly said he doesn’t remember taking the vehicle because of the number of pills he had ingested. In addition, Hodge said he removed decals and business markings from the vehicle’s windows. He said he tried to wipe down the vehicle on the inside to remove his fingerprints.

Hodge’s bond was set at $5,000, and he is set to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.
