The annual Pink for Peitz Rodeo will take place Friday and Saturday at the Saddle Club Arena in Mountain Home. The cost to attend is $5 per adult, if purchased in advance, $8 per adult on the day of the event, and $5 for children ages 6 through 12.

The annual rodeo benefits the Peitz Cancer Support House, a community outreach of Baxter Regional Medical Center providing comprehensive support services for cancer patients and their families.

This year’s event is sponsored by Rand Rodeo Company and Chicks-n-Spurs Drill Team and will include events such as bronco and bull riding, calf and team roping, barrel racing, goat untying, and mutton busting for kids. The Chicks-n-Spurs Drill Team will perform, and a cancer survivors’ ceremony will be held both days of the rodeo. Food and drinks will be available at the Mountain Home Saddle Club concession stand.

In addition to the rodeo event, there will be several opportunities for the public to actively support the cause, including participating in pink jail “arrests,” a 50/50 split drawing, and mechanical bull rides.

The 2018 Pink for Peitz Rodeo is an official “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” event, a nationwide initiative sponsored by Wrangler, to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer through rodeos and western events.

Rodeo sponsorships are now being accepted with proceeds directly benefiting Petit Cancer Support House and the patients they serve. To help sponsor the event, contact Melissa Hudson at 870-508-1457.
