UPDATE: Fire that destroys MH house now under investigation

A fire that destroyed a Mountain Home residence Thursday night is under investigation. Mountain Home firemen spent over four hours battling the blaze at 1902 Franklin Street in the Northern Hills subdivision.

Fire Chief Ken Williams says fire marshall Gary Pyzska will return to the scene Friday to investigate the fire which started when no one was home. The name of the homeowner is not known at this time.

The home was fully engulfed when firemen arrived. The call came in at 10:58 Thursday night with fireman on the scene until 3:17 Friday morning.

A fire has reportedly destroyed a home in Mountain Home. No official report has been released by the Mountain Home Fire Department but a listener sent in a picture of the fire which was reported around 11:00 last night on Franklin Street in Northern Hills.

Firemen were on the scene most of the night.
