Monday marks the fifth and final day of division play in the Babe Ruth 13-Year-Old World Series at Mountain Home, and the host team will look to advance to the bracket as a high seed. Mountain Home will again play the final game of the day at McClain Park as they meet Broomall-Newtown, Pennsylvania.
Mountain Home and Broomall-Newtown are currently in a three-way tie for first place in the American Division with Greater Portland, Maine, as all three are 2-1 in the tournament. Mountain Home’s last game was Saturday when they suffered a one-run loss to West Louisville, Kentucky. Broomall-Newtown came into the tournament as the Middle Atlantic regional champions, and they were edged out Sunday by Greater Portland.
The first pitch on Pitts Field is scheduled for 8 p.m.
Action begins at noon between Greenville, North Carolina, and Five Cities, California. Eagle Pass, Texas, faces West Linn, Oregon, at 2:30, and Bemidji, Minnesota, takes on Greater Portland at 5:30.
