Wilson says though those with developmental disabilities are the group’s main focus, the club also makes an effort to help other citizens who may have special needs or those needing help with their daily living.

Additionally, Wilson says many of those living with special needs need more support than relief programs like Medicaid can provide.

The Twin Lakes Civitan Club #3978 is a 501(c3) non-profit organization working to better the lives of its fellow citizens, with an emphasis on helping those with developmental disabilities, through financial support and hands-on projects. The group meets the first Tuesday and third Thursday evening of each month at 6:00 at Pizza Inn in Mountain Home. All are welcome to attend the meetings and participate in the work the club does.
