The Amber Alert for the Washington County baby abducted by her biological father has been cancelled.  The Arkansas State Police report the baby has been found safe.

ORIGINAL STORY

An Arkansas Amber Alert has been issued for a Washington County infant. According to the Arkansas State Police, the alert was issued early Tuesday morning by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for nearly two-month-old Ivy Kay Barrows of Winslow after she was allegedly taken by her biological father, 38-year-old Danny Trent Barrows of Fayetteville.

A domestic disturbance reportedly occurred on Whitehouse Road in the Brentwood community. Danny Barrows was reportedly involved in a physical disturbance with the mother. He allegedly stabbed the mother in the leg and hit her with his fists. He then reportedly threatened to kill the mother and baby with a knife, and he threatened the child by holding the knife to her body. Danny Barrows left the mother on the side of the road and drove away with the infant in the car. The vehicle is a brown 2005 Dodge Stratus with shiny rims, after-market tires, dents on the left side and a fictitious Arkansas disabled tag of 300005.

Ivy Barrows is described as a white female weighing ten pounds with blonde hare and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a white onesie with blue and purple flowers sitting in a grey and pink carseat.

Danny Barrows is described as a 5’11” white male with medium-length dark brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a tan t-shirt, khaki pants and possibly a ball cap.

Anyone with information on Ivy Barrows’ or Danny Barrows’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 479-444-5712.
