Big Creek to host Arvest Bank/Ultimate Auto Group Charity Golf Tournament

The 22nd-annual Arvest Bank/Ultimate Auto Group Charity Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday at Big Creek Golf and Country Club. Proceeds from the two-person scramble will benefit the Have a Heart Pet Shelter, the North Central Arkansas Adoption Coalition and the West Plains Rotary Child Weekend Backpack Program.

The entry fee is $190 per team and includes carts, team mulligans, breakfast provided by Neighbor’s Mill Bakery and Cafe in Harrison, lunch courtesy of Baxter Regional Medical Center, door prizes and player gifts. Drinks will also be provided by Pepsi and Mountain Valley Spring Water. The shotgun start is set for 8:30, and the tournament is divided into men’s teams and mixed teams.

The hole-in-one prize is sponsored by Genuine Care Pharmacy in Gassville. Special event holes include men’s and women’s closest to the line, closest to the pin, closest second shot, longest putt and the “Hole-in-One” hole featuring a new car. Additional pay-to-play holes include the “Pot of Gold” hole and the “Pick-a-Putt” hole.

Other benefits include silent auction items, pro shop gift certificates awarded to the top flights, the driving range and the putting and chipping green open to tournament players at no extra cost. There will be a discounted green fee of $59 plus tax to players for a Friday practice round.
