Betsey Coplen of Mountain Home entered a no contest plea to drug-related charges and was given 12 years probation and ordered into the 14th Judicial District Drug Court Program during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

In addition, Coplen will spend 90 days in one of the Community Correction Centers in the state where she will participate in a program aimed at helping people deal with addictions.

The 35-year-old Coplen has been involved in a number of cases based on drug-related charges. The latest came in July when officers served a search warrant at a residence along South College Street.

Coplen and a male were located at the residence. Officers found two bags containing a crystalline substance and items identified as drug paraphernalia, including digital scales. They also found a loaded handgun.

In addition, $455 in currency was seized during the search.

In the probable cause affidavit, it was noted Coplen has at least four previous felony convictions.
