ABC/Lou RoccoDolly Parton’s new Netflix series will be shooting next month in the Atlanta area, according to an online casting call.

Made to resemble a newspaper from September 1944, the information refers to the new show as Dolly Parton Theater. While it’s not apparent what the plot of this episode will be — or if Dolly herself will be in it — it definitely seems to focus around World War II.

The show is looking to cast young white men to play WWII soldiers, as well as amputees to play wounded veterans. They also need extras to portray 1940’s townsfolk, as well as black males to be the waitstaff in a diner. There’s also clearly some smoking in the show, as everyone must indicate whether they’re a smoker or are comfortable around simulated smoking.

The first day of shooting with extras appears to be September 11. You can find out more online.

The eight-episode first season of Dolly’s show is set to premiere next year. While the series is supposed to be based on the superstar’s classic songs, it’s not clear which one this might be.
