ABC/Image Group LA And the award for best reaction to Tuesday’s CMA nominations goes to… Keith Urban, who improvised some new lyrics to a classic Beatles song, before going on to express his gratitude in a video posted to his socials.

Keith revised the Fab Four’s classic “A Day in the Life,” as he sings, “I heard the news this morning, oh boy/Male Vocal, Album, Entertainer of the Year/And so I just want to say, oh, thank you/Mmmm, thank you.”

“Amazing way to wake up and start the day,” Keith adds as he stops singing. “I love making music, simple as that. I love making music, and to get to make Graffiti U and have the support that it’s gotten, especially to see that this morning in action, that’s an incredible feeling.”

The Aussie superstar closed his message with a vow to see his fans at the 52nd CMA Awards, as they air live on ABC from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on November 14.
