The headliner for this week’s Friday Night Block Party is Oh Happy Day. Music and activities will begin at 7:00 Friday night on the courthouse square in Mountain Home. In the event of rain, the event will be moved to Dunbar Auditorium on the Mountain Home High School campus. The event is free to the public.

Oh Happy Day regularly performs in Branson at The Hughes Brothers. Members of the ensemble include Gary Koreiba, Kim Boyce, Allen Asbury and Debra Paxton. In addition to the singers, attendees will also enjoy music from a live band and comedy from two young comedians.

Holy Smokes BBQ will be on hand, and the Baxter County Historical Society will be selling ice cream sundaes. Funnel cakes, fried pies, iced coffee and lemonade will also be available for purchase from concession vendors. All attendees will also have a chance to win door prizes during the band’s intermission.

This week’s block party sponsor is Bailey Insurance.
