U.S. Air Force 1st Class Charles E. Stroud III has graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in Texas.
Stroud III is the son of Vickie and Charles Stroud Jr. and brother to Zachary Stroud of Mountain View. He is also a graduate of Mountain View High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Harding University in 2015.
In order to graduate from basic military training, Stroud III completed an intensive, eight-week program including training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
