A Marion County man who was placed on the Baxter County Sheriff’s Most Wanted List in early August made an appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.
Derek Garrels of Flippin pled guilty to drug-related charges stemming from a traffic stop in late April and was given three years probation.
The 26-year-old-Garrels was stopped by a Cotter Police officer after hearing Garrels — a passenger in the car — had an outstanding arrest warrant.
A search was then undertaken. Officers located two syringes and a small plastic bag with a crystal-like powder in the center console of the vehicle. The material field tested positive for methamphetamine.
