An arrest at a Mountain Home motel room in early April has landed 20-year-old Austin Scott Denstedt in another type accommodation — this one in the state prison system.

Denstedt’s guilty plea stemmed from an arrest after Mountain Home police officers received information Denstedt and another male were staying in a room at the local motel.

When they went to the motel, officers found Denstedt hiding just inside the door of the room.

Officers searched the room and located numerous items of drug paraphernalia concealed in the bed, including syringes, glass smoking pipes and digital scales. A white crystalline substance found in the room field-tested positive for methamphetamine.

After pleading guilty, Denstedt was sentenced to six years in prison with three to serve. He will be on probation for the three years after serving his 36 months prison time.
