Police investigate man’s death in Springfield as suspicious

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) _ Authorities are investigating the death of a man whose body was found inside a pickup truck as suspicious.

The Springfield News-Leader reports police Lt. Tony Vienhage says police responded Monday morning after a neighbor found the man slumped over the steering wheel. Vienhage declined to discuss the specifics of how the man died, but said there are some circumstances that cause police to consider the death suspicious.

Police said the man was in his 40s. His name wasn’t immediately released.
