SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) _ A former executive of a Springfield charity has pleaded
guilty to concealing a known felony in a scheme in which other charity
executives diverted millions of dollars from the corporation.
Prosecutors say 68-year-old Keith Fraser Nobel, of Rogersville, pleaded guilty
Tuesday in federal court in Springfield.
Noble was an executive at Preferred Family Healthcare Inc. He admitted he knew
three other Preferred Family Healthcare executives conspired to steal more than
$30 million in charity funds and he didn’t inform the charity’s board of
directors or law enforcement of the crimes. He received more than $4.3 million,
which he agreed to pay in restitution.
He also acknowledged helping the conspirators conceal their crimes by preparing
and submitting federal grant applications that falsely certified the charity’s
compliance with federal restrictions on lobbying.
