A dedication ceremony was held Monday at the Mountain Home Police Department as the agency received a new flagpole. The department was assisted by Baxter County Justice of the Peace and retired United States Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel Gary Smith with the raising of the American Flag.
Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manuel says the Mountain Home Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association purchased the flag, labor was provided by the Mountain Home Street Department, and Jackson Rentals and Supplies provided the equipment. In addition, donations were courtesy of Integrity First Bank, Baxter Regional Medical Center, the Mountain Home Elks Lodge, Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services, Anstaff Bank and some anonymous donations.
