Lady Bombers win 2nd consecutive conference golf title

The Mountain Home High School girl’s golf team has won their second straight conference championship. The Lady Bombers captured the 5A East title Wednesday at Meadowbrook Country Club in West Memphis.

Sydney Czantskowski led the way with an 82, just one stroke behind the medalist. Kenzie Collins had an 89, Ella Brashears shot 98 and Haley Czeschin shot 104. Both Czantskowski and Collines earned all-conference honors. It’s the fourth year in a row Collins has earned all-conference and the third year in a row for Czantskowski.

Mountain Home’s Tom Czantskowski was named the 5A East Conference Coach of the Year.

The Lady Bombers will be on the links again Wednesday at the Hot Springs Country Club for the Class 5A State Golf Tournament.

The Mountain Home boys finished fourth, just missing the cut to make the state tournament.

Luke Jackson led the Bombers with an 85 which qualified him as an individual for the Class 5A State Tournament. Also for Mountain Home, Weston Hoover shot 87 and Chris Wehmeyer and Ripken Finley each shot 88. Gaige Chaney had a 100.
