A Fulton County man captured by authorities in Ozark County in August with the aid of officers from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office is now facing local charges.

According to the probable cause affidavit, 47-year-old George Jason Krumsick of Gepp is charged with felony theft of property in connection with the reported theft of a four-wheeler. He also faces a misdemeanor count of criminal mischief.

The vehicle was reportedly taken from a rear deck next to a residence in Gamaliel on August 9th. The four-wheeler had a 25-gallon sprayer on the rear rack and a broadcast spreader on the front rack.

The prior day, a manhunt was conducted for Krumsick in the area where the four-wheeler had been taken. Krumsick evaded law enforcement during the search, and it was believed he had left the area on a four-wheeler.

The day the vehicle was reported missing, information was obtained suggesting Krumsick had gone to Bakersfield.

Missouri and Arkansas authorities converged on a residence in Bakersfield, taking Krumsick into custody on outstanding warrants. Also arrested was 45-year-old Regina Kasinger of Mountain Home, with the two facing new charges in Missouri.

When he was apprehended, Krumsick allegedly told Baxter County officers he had taken the four-wheeler, had the keys, and had left the vehicle on the side of the road, approximately 2 miles south of the state line on Highway 101.

Deputies went to the location and recovered the four-wheeler.

According to a second probable cause affidavit, officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and Arkansas Community Corrections conducted a home visit at Krumsick’s residence on July 23rd.

While Krumsick was not in the residence, officers discovered numerous drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Following his capture, Krumsick was extradited from Missouri to Fulton County where he was charged with six felony drug offenses, including possession of controlled substances crystal methamphetamine, morphine, Xanax and marijuana.

Bond on the new charges in Baxter County was set at $5,000.
