Arkansas State University-Mountain Home was the site for the eighth annual Bridge Bash benefiting the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas. Saturday’s fundraising event at the Vada Sheid Community Development Center provided 448,000 meals to the Food Bank and its 75 member hunger relief agencies in Baxter, Boone, Fulton, Izard, Marion, Newton, Searcy, Sharp and Stone counties.

Food Bank President and Chief Executive Officer Jeff Quick says volunteers were able to package 103,680 meals. Even though the rain put a damper on some of Bridge Bash’s outdoor activities, Quick says the team at ASU-Mountain Home was able to help make the event possible by moving it inside the Sheid.

Donations for Bridge Bash are still being accepted through next Sunday, September 30th. To donate, go online to foodbanknca.org.
