A man arrested by Mountain Home police hiding in the bathroom of a local apartment in late August entered a guilty plea to drug-related charges and was given three years in prison during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

Forty-year-old Michael Vetor was arrested in August when Mountain Home police officers went to the apartment where he was reported to be living.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Vetor was wanted for being a parole absconder. Police first made contact with a female described as Vetor’s girlfriend. The woman said Vetor was not at the apartment.

A check of the residence was made, and officers found the bathroom door closed. Someone was reported to have been pushing against the door from the interior of the bathroom to deny entry.

Once the door was forced open, Vetor was located inside the bathroom. Officers reported finding a loaded weapon in the residence, along with several empty bags containing the residue of a white crystalline substance and syringes.

Police said the serial numbers on the weapon had been filed off. Vetor is a convicted felon and not allowed to have contact with firearms.

Vetor faced a number of charges, including possession of drug paraphernalia, being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a defaced firearm.
