Melbourne joined Lead Hill among area high school girls’ golf teams to finish the season as state champions. The Lady Bearkatz won the Class 2A State Tournament Wednesday at DeGray Lake Resort State Park Golf Course near Arkadelphia after shooting a team total of 283. The host school, Camden Harmony Grove, was five strokes back to finish as the runners-up.
