The St. Louis Cardinals will be ending the regular season with a tough three-game series on the road. The Redbirds begin the series Friday in Chicago as they take on a Cubs team with the best record in the National League.

The Cardinals go into Chicago trailing the Los Angeles Dodgers by a game for the league’s second wild card spot. St. Louis had the advantage for the playoff spot over Colorado, but since then, the Cardinals suffered a three-game sweep at the hands of Milwaukee. In addition, the Rockies have overtaken the Dodgers for first place in the N.L. West.

The Cubs and Brewers have both clinched playoff spots. Chicago leads Milwaukee by a game for the lead in the N.L. Central.

Adam Wainwright will get the start Friday for St. Louis, and the Cubs will go with Kyle Hendricks. The first pitch at Wrigley Field is scheduled for 1:20. Friday’s game can be heard on KTLO-AM. The broadcast begins at 12:25 with Ameren Total Access.
