MH hosts Jacksonville for Homecoming

Week six of Arkansas’s high school football season marks Homecoming Week for Mountain Home. The Bombers are set to welcome Jacksonville to the Twin Lakes Area.
Mountain Home comes into the game at 0-5 on the season and 0-2 in the 6A-East. The Bombers fell on the road last week to Pine Bluff. Jacksonville is 2-3 and 0-2. The Titans were shut out by Jonesboro last Friday on their home field.
Mountain Home head coach Bryan Mattox says he expects Jacksonville to be a formidable opponent for homecoming.

Kickoff at Bomber Stadium is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday’s game can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com. Coverage begins around 5:30 with the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas High School Gameday.
Elsewhere in the 6A-East, Searcy hosts Marion, Jonesboro entertains Pine Bluff, and Sylvan Hills is home against West Memphis.

Yellville-Summit is stepping outside of the 3A-2 this week for the first of two consecutive road games. The Panthers’ opponent this week will be Rector.
Yellville-Summit brings a 1-4 record into the game. The Panthers were originally scheduled to play Rose Bud, but the Ramblers have cancelled the remainder of their season. Rector has a mark of 1-3. The Cougars got beat up last week by Salem.
Kickoff at Paul Temerian Field is set for 7:00.
In the 3A-2, Melbourne travels to Marshall, Mountain View hosts Harding Academy, and Cedar Ridge makes the trip to Clinton.

Also on the local Arkansas schedule, Salem entertains Midland, and Harrison is home against Vilonia.

It’s week seven of the season in Missouri. Among area schools, West Plains hosts Waynesville, Hollister heads to Aurora, Forsyth entertains Stockton, Branson is home against Nixa, Ava travels to Thayer, Willow Springs makes the trip to Houston, Mountain View-Liberty hosts Cabool for Senior Night, and Mountain Grove entertains Salem, Missouri.
