Lakeview man injured after motorcycle collides with deer

A Lakeview man was injured in a motorcycle accident early Saturday morning in Lakeview. According to a Baxter County Sheriff’s Office report, 18-year-old David Labrun was transported from the scene on Trimble Flats Road to Baxter Regional Medical Center.

Baxter County 9-1-1 dispatch received a call at approximately 2:22 from a resident on Trimble Flats Road saying a male, who had reportedly hit a deer and injured his collar bone, was on her front porch. A sheriff’s corporal arrived on the scene and identified the male as Labrun. Labrun told the deputy he was driving northbound when a deer ran in front him and collided with the motorcycle. The deer was a female and killed on impact.

Labrun was cited for careless or prohibited driving and no driver’s license. The motorcycle, owned by Jason McDaniel of Bull Shoals, had an estimated $1,000 in damage.
