Schliemann Center to host Girls Night Out

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to celebrate the Schliemann Center for Women‘s Health Education of Baxter Regional Medical Center is hosting Girls’ Night Out: “Breast To Be Informed.” The event will take place Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 in the BRMC Lagerborg Dining Room.

Women of all ages are invited to the event to learn about the tools for early breast cancer detection, the different types of breast cancers, treatment and the resources available during and after treatment. The featured keynote speaker will be Dr. Jennifer Foster, a general surgeon at Ozark Surgical Group.

Dr. Foster will also be featured on the medical panel alongside Dr. Kyle McAlister, radiologist and medical director of the Breast Imaging Center of BRMC; Dr. Bruce White, hematologist and oncologist at Baxter Regional Medical Specialists, a radiology technologist/mammographer and staff member of the Breast Imaging Center; and Melissa Hudson, Coordinator of the BRMC Peitz Cancer Support House.

The event is free of charge to attend. A light meal will be provided, but due to limited seating, registration is required.
