Michael Ford of Mountain Home appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday, changed his plea to guilty on charges of possessing methamphetamine and marijuana and was given four years in prison.

A Mountain Home police officer stopped the 38-year-old Ford walking along U.S. Highway 62 East on Aug. 3rd. The officer discovered Ford was on active parole and had a search warrant on file.

The officer searched Ford and found a blue metal container in his left pocket. Inside the container was a plastic bag containing a white crystalline substance and two bags containing a green, leafy-like substance.
