The Arkansas Department of Health has lifted the boil order for Summit Waterworks in Marion County.

The department’s website indicates the order was lifted shortly after 10:00 Wednesday morning.

The order had been in place since Sept. 23rd due to a main break.

Boil orders were also placed on four water districts in Newton County on Sept. 24th. While orders have been lifted for the Mockingbird Hill Water Association and the Ozark Mountain Regional Public Water Authority, the health department’s website indicates they remain in place for the Nail-Swain and Deer water associations. All were due to a main break.

Those customers still under a boil order are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption. Water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
