A women’s tennis team from the Mountain Home area has captured a state championship. The Mountaineers won the USTA Adult 65 & Over State Tournament at Hot Springs without losing a match. They will now travel to Hilton Head, South Carolina in December for the USTA Southern Sectional Tournament.
Team members include Jo Ann Byrd, Roxanne Defenbaugh, Theia Foley, Colleen Justus, Cari Kelley, Mary Kirby, B.J. Lambert, Katie Risk and Jo Wilson.
