A few area high school softball teams took part in district semifinal action Thursday.
Dora is one win away from a state tournament berth. The Lady Falcons defeated Naylor 5-2 in the Class 1, District 1 Tournament at Norwood. The Lady Falcons improve to 18-8 on the season.
West Plains watched its season come to an end in the Class 3, District 10 Tournament at Sullivan. The Lady Zizzers fell to Osage 15-0. West Plains’ final record is 8-17.
Ava advanced to the title game of the Class 2, District 11 Tournament on their home field. The host Lady Bears topped Mansfield 11-5. Ava is now 16-9 on the year.
