It’s week eight of the high school football season in Arkansas, and Mountain Home will return to the home field. The “Bombers are Type 1 Strong” Blue Football Game is set for Friday as they take on Sylvan Hills.
Mountain Home is currently 0-7 on the season and 0-4 in the 6A-East. The Bombers are coming off a loss at Marion last week. Sylvan Hills is 2-5 and 1-3. The Bears picked up a two-point win at Jacksonville. Mountain Home head coach Bryan Mattox says the Bears are flying high after last week’s win.

Fans are being encouraged to support for those with type one diabetes and their families. Those who attend are asked to dress in blue by the Reppell Diabetes Learning Center.

Elsewhere in the 6A-East, Searcy travels to Jonesboro, Jacksonville hosts West Memphis, and Pine Bluff entertains Marion.
Yellville-Summit is idle this week. The Panthers were originally scheduled to play Cedar Ridge, but the Timberwolves have cancelled the remainder of their season.
In the 3A-2, Melbourne is home against Mountain View, Marshall hosts Harding Academy, and Clinton steps out of conference play by making the trip to Strong.
Elsewhere on the local Arkansas schedule, Salem heads to McCrory, and Harrison travels to Alma.
There are two matchups between teams ranked in the Arkansas Sports Media top ten. Top-ranked North Little Rock makes the trip to Fort Smith to meet number nine Northside, and number four Greenwood entertains tenth-ranked Benton.
Friday is the final night of the regular season in Missouri, West Plains heads to Springfield to face Glendale, Hollister travels to Mount Vernon, Forsyth makes the trip to Buffalo, Branson is home against Willard, Ava hosts Willow Springs, Mountain View-Liberty heads to Houston, and Thayer entertains Mountain Grove.
