MH woman threatens to kill woman and her son, runs from police

A Mountain Home woman has been arrested after threatening to kill a mother and her son, leaving threatening voice mails for a neighbor then running from police when they tried to arrest her. Fifty-four-year-old Ellen Griesi is facing several charges following her arrest this week.

The arrest affidavit from Mountain Home Police indicates Griesi allegedly went to a woman’s house Sunday night and confronted her when she got out of her vehicle. The victim says Griesi started yelling at her, saying “mark my words, I’m going to kill you tomorrow. I’m going to shoot you in the face and kill your son.” The victim said she had a sympathy card placed on her windshield and inside the card, handwritten were the words “losing a son is hard on a mother.”

Earlier in October, Mountain Home police took a report from a male neighbor of Griesi who called 911 in regards to a disturbance at her house. The man says Griesi had left him threatening voice mails after she became upset he had called 911.

Police went to Griesi’s residence Tuesday to arrest her. When they arrived and told her she was being arrested, she ran but was captured by the officer. She continued to wrestle and resist until she was placed in hand cuffs.

Griesi is charged with a felony count of terroristic threatening and misdemeanor counts of harassing communications, resisting arrest and fleeing on foot. She was freed from jail after posting $6,000 bond.
