Baxter Regional Medical Center auxiliary members and employees returned from the annual Arkansas Hospital Association and Arkansas Hospital Auxiliary joint meetings in Little Rock in October with multiple awards.

The BRMC Volunteers’ Auxiliary received the AHAA 5 Star Award of Excellence. Auxiliaries from around the state were asked to complete 33 questions, indicating their participation within their local communities and AHAA state projects.

Based on the points awarded, auxiliaries received an award rating from two up to five stars.

A BRMC spokesperson says the award recognizes the hundreds of hospital volunteers who give their time and energy day in and day out to help provide excellent care and a welcoming environment to the medical center’s patients. The state award recognizes BRMC’s volunteers as the five star team hospital officials have always known they are.

In addition, BRMC received a Diamond Award in the publication category for The Regional, a semi-annual community newsletter curated by the BRMC marketing team in partnership with Brooks Jeffrey Marketing, Inc.

The Regional provides North Central Arkansas and South Central Missouri communities with updates on health care news and services offered at BRMC and its clinics across 11 counties.

The AHA Diamond Award is designed to recognize excellence and encourage improvement in the quality, effectiveness, and impact of health care marketing and public relations in the state of Arkansas.

Judging for each entry was based on goals and objectives, the audience to whom the entry was directed, reasons for choosing the format, frequency and quantity, and portions created internally.

The awards were presented at the Arkansas Hospital Association 88th Annual Meeting and Trade Show in Little Rock.
