In the clip, which appears to have been recorded at one of the Motown legend’s recent concerts, Wonder tells the audience, “I’m encouraging you all to make sure you vote.” He then plays a keyboard and raps, “We gotta get out and vote/This is important/This ain’t no joke/Tell your friends/Tell your sister/Tell your brother/Tell the millennials/This ain’t no joke!”

As the video ends, a message flashes on the screen that reads “Go Vote!” as you hear Stevie say, “I want you to tweet this all over the nation, all over the world. I’m serious about this here.”

Wonder has long been a crusader for social justice, including leading the campaign to make Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.‘s birthday a national holiday, which it became in 1986.  The 25-time Grammy winner also actively supported Barack Obama for president in 2008 and 2012.
