John Mellencamp among many stars who will salute Willie Nelson at Nashville tribute concert in January

Blackbird PresentsJohn Mellencamp is among the artists who will join Willie Nelson at an all-star tribute concert honoring the 85-year-old country-music legend that will take place in January and be recorded for an A&E special airing later in the year.

Willie: Life & Songs of an American Outlaw, A Willie Nelson All-Star Concert Celebration is set for Saturday, January 12, at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

Other musicians on the lineup include Sheryl Crow, current Eagles touring member Vince Gill, Kris Kristofferson, Norah Jones, George Strait, Alison Krauss, Jack Johnson, Lyle Lovett, and ex-Allman Brothers Band guitarist Derek Trucks and his wife Susan Tedeschi. The concert is expected to feature a variety of onstage collaborations.

Tickets for the concert go on sale to the general public this Monday, November 12, at 10 a.m. CT and can be purchased at the Bridgestone Arena box office, at LiveNation.com and by phoning 800-745-3000. Willie: Life & Songs of an American Outlaw is the latest in a series of tribute concerts produced by Blackbird Presents.
