Entertainment OneBringing a little bit of the tropics to the yuletide season, Dionne Warwick has released a new holiday single, an updated version of the classic Hawaiian-themed Christmas tune, “Mele Kalikimaka.”

The legendary singer collaborated on the song with Grammy-nominated reggae artist Fiji and Grammy-winning producer/singer Damon “NomaD” Elliott, who also happens to be her son.

The track is available now as a digital download and via streaming services. You also can check out the song at Dionne’s official VEVO YouTube channel.

“Mele Kalikimaka” was written in 1949 by Robert Alex Anderson, and over the years has been covered by a wide range of artists, including Bing Crosby with The Andrews Sisters, Jimmy Buffett, Don Ho, The Monkees, Bette Midler, Train and KT Tunstall. Warwick’s rendition adds a bit of reggae flavor to the song’s laid-back Hawaiian sound.

Dionne currently is on a tour of Australia and New Zealand that wraps up with a show on Saturday, November 10, in Christchurch, New Zealand.
