Former MH ROTC instructor to speak at Veterans’ Day ceremony

The annual Veterans’ Day Ceremony is scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 1:00 at the Mountain Home Plaza 2000 across from the Baxter County Courthouse. This year’s event is hosted by the North Central Arkansas Veterans Council.

Mountain Home resident Trip Wilson will be the keynote speaker. Wilson is a veteran of the United States Navy where he held the rank of master chief. He is also a former instructor of the Junior ROTC program at Mountain Home High School Career Academies. Wilson will speak on the meaning and importance of veterans in the country.

The Mountain Home High School Brass Band will perform patriotic music including “The Star Spangled Banner” and “God Bless America.” The ceremony will conclude with the rifle salute by the Alley-White American Legion Post 52 Honor Guard.
